Privacy Policy

Your reminder settings (interval, working hours, sounds, pause state) are stored only on your Mac and are never sent to us. The app doesn’t read your screen, keystrokes, files, or other apps.

When you start the trial, activate a license, or the app checks your license status, it sends:

• a random installation ID created on your Mac (it isn’t tied to your name, Apple ID, or hardware);
• a random installation secret, which we store only as a one-way hash;
• the Situpbro version number;
• your license key, when you activate one.

We store the installation ID, trial start and end times, the time we last heard from it, and which license (if any) it’s activated with. We use this only to run the trial and enforce the 2-Mac limit.

Payment is handled by Stripe on its own checkout page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us your email address and the IDs of the payment, and we store those with your license so we can send your key, handle refunds, and help if you lose it. License keys are stored only as a keyed hash; the plain key exists only in the email we send you.

To stop abuse, our servers count requests per IP address. We store only a keyed hash of the IP, never the address itself, and delete those counters after 2 days. The website uses no cookies and no analytics. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

• Supabase: hosts our database and licensing server.
• Stripe: sells the license as our reseller and handles payments, taxes, and refunds.
• Resend: delivers the license email.
• Our website host: serves this website.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We don’t sell or share your data with anyone else, and we don’t use it for advertising.

We process this data to provide the app and license you asked for (performance of a contract), to keep purchase and tax records (legal obligation), and to prevent abuse of the free trial (legitimate interest).

• Hashed IP counters: 2 days.
• Installation records: for as long as the installation is in use, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Purchase records (email, payment IDs, license): as long as your license is valid, and at least as long as tax and accounting law requires.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may have further rights, including objecting to processing and complaining to your local data protection authority. Email contact@mohaintech.com from the address you bought with. Deleting your purchase data also deactivates your license, and we may have to keep some records to meet legal obligations.

Situpbro isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
